DON SOFFER
Don Soffer’s ingenious plan to transform a mosquito-infested swamp in North Miami-Dade County into an upscale, planned community began nearly 50 years ago when he and his father, Harry purchased a 785-acre tract of marshland and sketched his version on a cocktail napkin. Today, that parcel of land stands in the heart of the city of Aventura, one of Florida’s most prestigious addresses, and includes the world-famous Turnberry Isle Miami, Aventura Mall, thousands of residential units and numerous office. Don Soffer has combined his success in the business world with a lasting commitment to support many causes that benefit humanity including the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Brandeis University, Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation, Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center, United Way and The Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami.

GABRIEL EREM
Gabriel Erem, was born to Holocaust survivors who instilled in him the values of empathy, perseverance, and the importance of remembering the past. Growing up and brutally persecuted under the repressive Communist regime in Eastern Europe, Gabriel learned the importance of tolerance, understanding, and the need to fight against injustice. Gabriel established Lifestyles Magazine, a prestigious media platform dedicated to highlighting and promoting exemplary philanthropic endeavors and positive societal change. Through Lifestyles Gabe amplified the values of resilience, the importance of giving back, and the power of using one’s voice and resources for the greater good. Gabriel’s close friendships with Simon Wiesenthal, Elie Wiesel, and Peter Malkin, the man who captured Adolph Eichmann and brought him to trial, is a testament to his deep commitment to learning and applying the lessons of the Holocaust to future generations.
